Seido Karate Dover was started in the late 1980’s by Kyoshi Mike Knight (5th Dan) who at the time was a Brown Belt. Kyoshi Mike was given support and guidance from Sei Shihan Roger Thyer-Jones (Seido UK Chairman) who had the first UK dojo and was based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. After spending many years as Branch Chief, Kyoshi Mike handed the reins of Seido Karate Dover to one his longest training students Kyoshi Jonathon Yorke (who began Seido Karate as a junior in 1989).
The Dover Dojo is in a fantastic venue at St Edmund’s Catholic School Kyoshi Jonathon Yorke 5th Dan and his team of seniors including Sensei Nigel White and Senpai John Casey offer classes for both children and adults. You are assured of a friendly welcome.
All instructors at Dover are DBS checked and First Aid qualified
